Its official out that High heels make a women look sexy.
American science journalist Jena Pincott in his book "DO Gentleman Really Prefer Blondes?" goes on to describe how wearing heels make a woman statesque and appear more attractive to the opposite sex.
Wearing heels make the calves and shins of the women tensed and elongated and hence the pace becomes more refined and the posture more erect.
High heels make a woman's movements more sensual as the high heel shoes adjust the proportions of the body and make them more close to what is perceived as ideal.

According to a survey conducted upon more than 200 men and women to rate the attractiveness of diagrams of seven men and women with different leg lengths.
Both the sexes said that the legs that were 5% longer than the normal person's height is ideal.
The survey also revealed that the legs that were 10 percent longer than average were considered attractive while the legs that were 15 percent longer were not.

Also another study at University college in London found that the ideal female figure had legs exactly 1.4 times the length of the upper body, which we can find in the case of many super models.

So all you women who want to look sexy - go get yourself a pair of sexy high heels.

Know what shoes are suitable for you!!

The looks of the shoe are the first thing that attracts a person. But looks are not the only thing that one needs to keep in mind while buying shoes. There are lot of things to a shoe other than its
looks. Even the shoe manufacturers have become conscious about the stability and comfort of the
shoe buyers.

The main problem is that one generally tends to go only for the looks of the shoe and over look
the main factors such as comfort and easy on the feet. Lot many foot injuries are due to the same fact as lots of people wear shoes that are not suitable for their foot type.

Yes, one should wear shoes according to one's foot type. There are mainly three types of foot structures - flat foot, foot with a medium arch and foot with a high arch.

Now for example a flat foot person should go for a shoe that has a little bit of arch. High arch's are not meant for you. People with high arch will be at ease wearing a shoe with a high arch. People with medium arch are comparatively lucky as they have a wide range of shoes to select from.

Keeping these small but important things in mind while selecting shoes to buy will be helpful in long run, else it might lead to ankle pain, knee problem and in serious cases even to back problem.

So all you people out there, next time you go to buy shoes remember to check these things along

How to prevent blisters with new shoes !!

Firstly when you buy any shoe make sure you try them on and walk around in the store to be sure that it doesnt start hurting the moment you put them on.

Not all new shoes result in blisters. Some shoes need more time than other shoes to become comfortable to be worn for longer stretch of time. High heels especially take longer time to become comfortable enough to be worn for longer periods.

The main things to be kept in mind before you start wearing the new shoes for longer duration of time is to wear the shoes with your regular socks for short duration when in home. This will stretch the shoes and thereby making them more comfortable to use for longer periods when you venture out.

- Second most important thing that you need to do is after using the shoes you will come know which parts of the shoeshurts and is more uncomfortable. Get moleskin from the local drugstore. Apply these strips directly to your feet or to the shoe at the places where it hurts. This will create a barrier between the shoe and your skin.

- Also keep your feet moisturized because the shoes hurt more when the skin is dry. Dry skin is more vulnerable, so it would get cut easily at the places where the shoes dig in your feet.

- Also if the shoes still hurts then another option is to apply vaseline to the shoe directly as this will make the shoe material softer making it more easy and comfortable for the feet to adjust.

You might have come across news clippings that tell about madonna's gun heel shoes.Its from there, I drew the inspiration to write this post.High heels have been in the fashion for some time now, be it Victoria Beckham heels with no heels, or the tea cup heels, upside-down heels and the most recent one by Madonna's hand gun heels designed by Karl Lagefeld for Chanel and are going to hit the shops very soon.Though currently they are in news for all wrong reasons!!!

When in comes to women shoes, high heels have been creating waves in the fashion circuit. Victoria Beckham's heels with no heels at the launch of Beckham Signature perfume for him and her had created headlines in the fashion magazines. These incredible shoes are designed by Antonio Berardi. The thigh high boots were made of pvc and it was really a wonder that Victoria managed to walk in them.while the same invited a flak from The British Orthopaedic Association who gave a statement discouraging the use of such heel-less shoes saying that the heel is to provide proper support to the foot and such shoes can lead to foot and back problems.

I think we can term this season's fashion as the fashion of "unusual heels". The unusual heels are creating a story for themselves

Buying Shoes - Need to keep few things in mind !!

Every women is obsessed with shoes and if it's a stiletto, then there is no stopping for them. Stilettos are named after the long skinny knives. These shoes are designed with more than three inches of heels. Another name for stilletos is Spiked heels that gives women a sexy and stylish look. However, you need to careful while buying high heel shoes. Below are some tips that may be helpful to you when you buy shoes.

• Make sure that you are buying the right size of shoes.

• The shoes should not be too big or small or too narrow.

• Some high heels might push your feet forward so you might even go for half a size larger shoe. But be careful that the shoes do not come off when you walk as that might result in you breaking your ankle or getting blister.

• Also try not to wear the super high heeled shoes for a longer period of time at a stretch as wearing them for a longer period can cause your achilles tendon to shorten.

• If your height is under five feet,then buying super high heeled shoes is not going to help you as they would look out of place, so its better to stick to 3 to 4 inches of heels. If you want to look taller you can go for sling backs as they give an illusion of height.

• You must look for shoes which make are comfortable for your feet, several shoes comes with built in comforts like insoles or padded footbeds.You can also buy inserts which are made for high heels.

Design your Own Shoes

I just came across a nice article that explained about a unique way to give new look to your old canvas shoes or you could even buy a new pair of shoes and start designing it in your own different style.I want to share with you what I found about shoe styling.

The main requirement is a pair of Canvas Shoes.
Some sharpies or even the oil paints would do.In case you are using oil paints, you might need paint brushes.
Other than this, you may need paper towels,just to ensure that your styling doesn't spoil anything else like your table or the floor from getting messy
Set the paper towels on the floor or the table, whatever may be more convenient for you.
After this, take the canvas shoes and put them on the paper towels. You can sketch some ideas on a paper or if you are confident enough,start painting directly on the shoes
I tried various colours of oil paints on my shoes. I can assure you that this entire thing is worth trying. You can afford to take pains for this experiment.After painting your shoes, let them dry up for some hours.If possible, keep them for an overnight.

After the shoes become completely dry, they are ready to be worn. I hope you will find this personalised version of shoes quite stylish.

Shoe Care - An important aspect of shoe wardrobe

Its been a long time since I wrote a post. Well, to be honest, I was busy cleaning up my shoe wardrobe :)

Let me start from here, how to take care while storing all those fab pair of shoes that we keep on buying. We need to be really careful while storing our shoes especially if we want to keep them ready for the next season. Shoe care starts with the daily brushing off dirt from your shoes. If you wear your favorite pair of shoes, don't forget to brush off the dirt at the end of the day when you retire to your home. In addition, make sure that you are not wearing the same pair of shoes more than 3 times in a row as that would make your feet stinky. You need to pamper your shoes so that they last longer.

Make sure you clean your shoes and store each pair separately in their original boxes. While cleaning your shoe wardrobe, you might even find stacked up shoes that have never been worn, Just the way I did (I found 3 pairs of shoes - which I had completely forgotten about). Well, take them out, get them ready for the season. Clean them and see if they need mending. If yes, then get them repaired and polished before you start using them.

Get ready for the coming season with all the trends and fashions in shoe category. Hey, before I end, let me tell you one thing, red stilettos are a must in your wardrobe. So, if you don't have a pair of red stilettos...go get yourself one !!
