Hot Shoe Trends for Winter 08 -09

The cold, unwelcomed breeze of the looming winter may not seem too chilly anymore, considering the sizzling hot winter shoe trends that have made the grade this 08-09 season.

Fashionistas of the world have confirmed that this seasons fashion trends have shoes and high heels at the forefront of them. Shoe designers have humbly accepted the challenge of creating fashion provoking shoes and have proven their artistic creativity better than you would have ever wanted in this recession-hit period. If you are committed to fashion, it’s going to be really hard for you to resist the temptation of maxing out your credit card this winter, what with the wide variety of must have shoes and high heels.

Trawl the World Wide Web for the shoe trends for winter 2008-09 and you will be stunned to notice the extraordinarily stunning range of winter shoes for women with all tastes and style-statements from cute to raunchy and from elegant to sinfully wicked.

Heel Trends for Winter

This winter the drop in temperature does not necessarily mean you need to drop your heels too! While there are a lot of exciting flat ankle boots and cute sandals for those who prefer to play it safe and comfortable on flats, there are a lot more tempting high heel shoe options for those who don’t give a damn about aching calves and sore toes, but rather want to be in the fashion limelight.

The dagger like stiletto with killer high heels of four inches and above will be there to add a touch of sexiness to winter skirts and dresses. Though you may also notice a bit of innovation to stilettos this season as shoe designers have increased the height of the heel and added a platform to the shoe. Another trend of winter 2009 is thick high heel covered in the same fabric as the shoe itself – so make sure you keep a look out for those and add a pair to your collection. Wedge heels are expected to evolve in style and design this season too, and thus don a more interesting appearance over all.

The “Heel Appeal”

Become a Sex and the City girl!

So we all loved our fab four ladies – strutting their stuff through Manhattan, but what have we learnt from them?

Well above all we have learnt that fashion is the key to living in any major city!

Whether it’s London, Paris or New York, style is an absolute must have to become a true Sex and the City gal.

So where do we begin – well let’s begin where Carrie began with all her outfits…. SHOES!

The right pair of shoes can turn an outfit from simple to sensational.

High heels are a must have, we never saw Carrie prancing around in Ugg boots or flats did we?

Carrie loved her high heels… And we all know why, because a pair of fabulous high heels can get a man to drop to your feet… even Mr Big himself, well eventually!

All of the fab four showed us what true style is all about but Carrie was our number one style queen.

With her gorgeous Manolo Blahniks and her quirky style, Carrie taught us that a pair of high heels can go a long way - but not all of us “city gals” can afford Jimmy Choos and Manolo Blahniks. We know that living in the city is an expensive lifestyle but lucky for us there are many high heels out there that can pull off the “city gal look” at a more affordable price.

We have looked around to find some of the best high heel shoes around to help you get that true city look and have come across a fantastic shoes website:

www.SexyShoes.co.uk

These offer a range of high heel shoes ideal for us city gals out there.

Ok, that’s shoes – what else have we learnt from their style???

Never wear a hair scrunchy!!! Enough said!

Everything comes back in style so keep those clothes and shoes that are out of fashion at the moment and wait a few years to wear them again.

Big 50’s dresses are ideal for special occasions – We can never forget Carrie in those stunning big dresses with a lovely pair of high heel sandals. Keep these purely for those special occasions!

High Heels go with everything – all 4 ladies lived in high heels!

Look fabulous day and night – you never know who is going to be knocking at your door.

Real fur is a BIG no no – Samantha learnt this when she had red paint thrown over her fur coat.

Update your hair style regularly – Carrie demonstrated long, short, mid length, curly, straight, pulled back, let loose. Don’t stick to one look, keep it interesting.

Accessorise your outfits – with a nice pair of high heels, belts, jewellery or Samantha’s favourite… a fabulous bag.

Have a trademark item – for Carrie it was her Carrie necklace!

Sunglasses – the bigger the better!
And finally – no girl can ever have too many shoes!

Shoes are a Girl’s Best Friend….

They say that diamonds are a girls best friend but let’s face it, what girl can afford diamonds these days, unless you are Paris Hilton, or better yet married to a footballer and living the life of a “WAG”.

Diamonds have most definitely been replaced with every girl’s favourite accessory… SHOES!

Every girl loves a pair of high heels, the kind of shoes that make that Saturday night party outfit complete. Or the pair of high heels that turn that dull office outfit into a style straight out of Sex and the City. Or the pair of killer high heels that can get any man falling to your feet.

A not so kept secret of the fashion world is that a nice pair of high heels can turn any plain outfit into a work of art.

The higher the better!

Ditch the flats and bring out the 5 inch heels for a true diva look.

Yes, they may kill your feet at the end of the night, but are they worth it...?

100% YES!

And why, I hear you ask?

Well any girl who loves fashion knows that the key to any style is the shoes that you wear with it and as they say pain is beauty. A classic yet very true quote.

Picture Victoria Beckham in a lush Roberto Cavalli dress finished off with a pair of kitten heel shoes… I think not!

Victoria Beckham knows that the only way to pull off a jaw dropping outfit is to dump the flats and bring out those stiletto high heels.

Sarah Jessica Parker is another ideal example of a woman who religiously wears those killer heels.

OK, so we may not all be able to afford Manolo Blahnik’s or Jimmy Choo’s but now with more range than ever of fabulous high heels out there at reasonable prices you don’t have to pay £300 a time… for that amount you might as well stick to diamonds.

Spread the word girls as shoes really are a girl’s new best friend.

Loving Cheryl Cole’s High Heels…

We all love Cheryl on the X-Factor, giving her quirky and rather comedy opinions but whilst Cheryl is digging her heels into winning the X-Factor 2008 she has already won the style award on the show by supplying us girls some fantastic outfits to inspire us with our own Saturday night styles.

This week Cheryl appeared amongst the other judges with a stunning pink dress with a pair of bright pink high heels.

At 5 ft 3, these high heels not only levelled her out with the other judge’s heights but also displayed that a pair of high heel shoes can complete an outfit to perfection.

Cheryl’s gorgeous high heels were almost as high as the notes that Mariah Carey was belting out in her live performance of Hero that night.

Just looking at the pink high heels made every girl want a pair of their own… Cheryl once again has inspired us all.

This is not the first time that Cheryl’s style has been the talk of the show.

From the very first auditions Cheryl’s edgy clothes finished off once again with those fabulous high heels were just another reason to tune in and watch.

But Cheryl wasn’t the only one wearing some killer high heels on Saturday.

Mariah herself was wearing some super high heels which made her look twice the height of presenter Dermot O’Leary.
Mariah, looking fabulous on Saturday, knows more than anyone that the X Factor means not only being a talented singer but also having the “Style Factor” too.

With great singing voices, fantastic songs, gorgeous girls and guys – with the exception of Louis Walsh, stylish clothes, stunning high heels and of course Simon Cowell himself – there is no reason not to be watching the X Factor.

Planning to Buy Shoes - Read This

Planning to buy a pair of shoes??
Make sure you have read this before you go for your shoe
shopping.

- Your feet tend to swell throughout the day so preferably do your shoe shopping after lunch this would ensure that you get the best fit.

- Know your true size. Do not try to fit into a smaller size just because you like the shoe and a bigger size is not available.Do not squeeze your feet and also make sure that the shoes are not too
tight.

- While buying a shoe keep in mind your feet shape, i.e. whether they are flat or arched. You can
refer the previous post where i have discussed kind of shoes are suitable for different kinds of
feet.

- Which ever shoe you buy make sure that you walk around a few steps in the shop.Walk on carpeted as well as hard surface. You need to be sure that the shoes are comfortable right from the time you buy them. At times the salesmen insist saying that the shoes would "break in" eventually on use, but don't get carried away by his words.

- Now if you are buying a shoe to match them with a certain outfit yours then make sure you are wearing a casual dress so that you can see the shoes with bare legs and hence get a better idea.

If you have already been to many shoe shops and are still not getting the perfect pair of shoes
then i suggest you try some online shopping sites like http://www.sexyshoes.co.uk. This site has a huge range of various shoes along with free delivery, next day delivery and return policies.

Buy new shoes or mend old shoes !!!

With the recent economic depression hitting mostly all the sectors but it is not going to stop the
dedicated shoe-lovers from kicking up her heels. In fact this credit card crunch has brought about
a sense of renewed interest in the cobblers, shoe menders as people prefer to mend their old shoes rather than buy new ones. It has also regenerated the demand for seamstresses and tailors.

“Apparently shoes are a safer investment these days than stocks,” says Josh Shulman, Chief Exec at Jimmy Choo, who has seen sales of his brand continue to rise as shares in big businesses fall.

Also here are few tips to keep in sync with the fashion and keeping in mind the recent economic
recession
